| After failing to get email posting to work, I emailed Xanga to tell them I'd like to cancel my premium account (which I'd had for less than 24 hours at that point) and get a refund.
Charmingly, they've refused. They did generously offer not to automatically renew my account, though.
I'm giving them another chance; we'll see if they get it right.

| After trying unsuccessfully to phone blog to Xanga several times (even after upgrading to premium), I've decided to give Blogspot a try. You can find my new blog here: http://whiskydrinkingjesus.blogspot.com/
I'll do another post here if I definitely decide to stop posting to Xanga.

| Today I learned an important lesson about defrosting freezers. No matter how much faster it seems that the process will go if you use a screwdriver and a hammer, you are wrong. The aesthetic pleasure of leveraging huge chunks of ice off the top and sides of your freezer pales in comparison to the oh-shit moment when you hear a hiss and realize that you've gone too deep.
When I sheepishly called the landlady, I found that she was out of town for the next several days. This should be a fun week...

| The baby hasn't arrived yet, but I feel like it could happen any day. I hope it holds off for a bit, though, as I am recovering from the plague still.
I got an iPhone and have been pleasantly surprised with how well it works. As a phone, it is good, but as a palmtop it is excellent. I think I now check my personal email on it more than a computer. |

| AirplaneGirl and I aren't dead, we've just been really busy. We've got a baby on the way! Wow...
Right now we're in Half Moon Bay talking our last pre-baby vacation. It's odd how close Half Moon Bay is, because it always kind of seems far away. Nice place, though...
Beyond that, we're spending a lot of time getting our apartment ready for the baby. I was utterly unprepared for how much furniture and other stuff babies seem to need. It's got its own dresser, for Christ's sake!
